gift

I think I have mentioned before how I love to look up kid's names on amazon and see what comes up. I got the idea from my sister, Stephanie and I love it. Everyone loves a personalized gift and you can never have too many books. However, it doesn't usually result in anything too exciting, but with this little guy, it worked great! It also worked for our niece Ellie which you can see here.

For Avery's friend Will's first birthday, we got him two books about a funny little boy who was also named Will. I don't have pictures of those books, but this was the packaging and card from that birthday. I cut and glued little magnet strips to the back of a W and put it on top of his package. It's fun and cute and then they can use it on their refrigerator or wherever they want later. Will's Mom still has his W magnet up in their kitchen.

You can see what his 2nd birthday gift was here. This time for his third birthday, I got him a different book about Will's new cap. So, of course, I wanted to get him a new hat to go with it. I was a little sad because the hat I wanted to get him was red like the one on the book, but they didn't have the right size. I went with this yellow one because it has a big C on it which is the first letter of Will's last name!

I usually like for the card and wrapping to coordinate with the gift somehow, but it didn't work this time. Somehow it ended up looking like a Christmas present. Oh, well. I just used a letter C sticker and W & A rub-on letters. The package ended up like this honestly because I was out of envelopes to match the card so I just used the card as the label on the package. Pretty generic, but it worked...

We have a 4th birthday party coming up for another friend and I can't wait to have fun with that one...
